For the further extension of our team, we are looking for a Key Account Manager (m/f) supporting and managing the clients, who have awarded Zeaborn Ship Management with the commercial and/or technical management of their ships. These are typically ship owners, banks, private equity funds, or other financial institutions.
In this challenging position, you will be steering the continuous enhancement of the relationship with the customer, and will be responsible to customize Zeaborn Ship Management’s service portfolio to the individual requirement of the client.

Your responsibilities

  • Establish long-term and trustful customer relations through a proactive and comprehensive management strategy for the Key Accounts
  • Expansion of the business relationship with Key Accounts Assist in sales efforts with Key Accounts from initial contact through strategy, proposal, presentation and successful conclusion
  • Development of individual account management strategies increasing the customers’ satisfaction
  • Continuous enhancement of our ship management service quality together with the constant development of the “product” Zeaborn Ship Management
  • Consultancy towards the customer regarding our ship management service portfolio
  • Communication between the customer and Zeaborn Ship Management internal departments
  • Preparation, negotiation and administration of ship management contracts
  • Provide appropriate market and competitive information for corporate analysis

Your profile

We are looking to interview candidates who have ideally completed an apprenticeship in shipping/ship management (“Schifffahrtskaufmann” (m/f) or comparable) or a degree in a related area as well as a proven track record in a similar role. Experience in ship management, a passion for technical/nautical topics and experience in Finance/Controlling and are advantageous. You should combine strong presentation and communication skills (English and German) across different hierarchy levels with self-motivation, a confident demeanor and a keen interest in advancing the company’s customer relationships. Effective analytical and demonstrated problem-solving abilities along with strong customer orientation and reliability are also expected.
