In this role you will be responsible for the commercial operation of the managed container/dry bulk/MPP fleet in close cooperation with charterers, owners and the vessels. You will be liaising with the company’s internal departments concerning the vessels' information requirements, induce tailored and adequate commercial solutions, and continuously enhance the service quality of ZEABORN Ship Management to its customers.
Your key tasks will involve assisting and supporting the ships' commands in performing the voyages under the governing charter parties, and support the in-house chartering department and chartering brokers with the seeking of employment for the commercially managed fleet. You will also be liaising and collaborating with the Technical, Crewing, Nautical and Marine & Quality departments guaranteeing the efficient and effective execution of the charter. Furthermore, you need to closely follow up and report on vessel performance to ensure it is in-line with company expectations, collect feedback from the vessels, agents (m/f/d) and other stakeholders after each call to evaluate and identify areas of improvement and contribute to a professional and efficient claims handling.
We are looking for candidates (m/f/d) with relevant professional experience in shipping, ideally in marine operations, based on a completed training as a shipping merchant (m/f/d), or as a nautical officer (m/f/d). You have good knowledge of charter contracts and the handling of claims. We expect you to be able to deal with international customers confidently and to have a good command of English written and spoken.
You have good communication skills with the ability to solve critical situations diplomatically. You are highly self-motivated and networked thinking, have analytical skills and act reliably. If you are also a team player (m/f/d), well structured and if you want to work independently, we should get to know each other.
