Rob joined Zeaborn Ship Management in 2019 bringing with him close to forty years of ship management experience in both third-party ship management companies and ship owning companies worldwide. After playing his part in building up a shipping and trading company in Saudi Arabia and thereafter working as technical director with Van Nievelt Goudriaan in Rotterdam, he was with Hanseatic Shipping Co in Cyprus for eleven years as technical director and joint managing director before moving to Hong Kong to become group managing director of Wallem – shipmanagement, ship agencies, shipbroking, with a fleet of 350 ships in management. In Seaspan Ship Management in Vancouver and Hong Kong, the largest containership-leasing company in the world, he was responsible for all aspects of the ships’ management.
Michael was appointed Zeaborn Ship Management’s chief operating officer in 2018 bringing with him a wealth of 25 years shipping experience, both on owners’ and managers’ side. Starting his seagoing career with Hapag Lloyd and Hamburg Süd, followed by positions as technical director and managing director at Reederei Hamburger Lloyd and Hamburger Lloyd Tanker and with his appointment as managing director and chief operating officer for RSM, Michael has gained extensive, in-depth knowledge of tanker, container and bulk management.
Erik joined Zeaborn Ship Management in 2007. In 2015 he was appointed to the management board. As chief financial officer he is responsible for all commercial activities. This includes, besides human resources and IT, accounting, finance and controlling. He is in charge of all cooperations and negotiations with banks and auditors, liquidity management, reporting and cost control of Zeaborn Ship Management and all the single-ship companies managed.
A banker by training and a graduate in commerce. Erik started his career in finance and group controlling with Jungheinrich AG, well known for its logistic solutions. He has also been head of finance for the shipping company Hapag-Lloyd AG and head of interest rate and currency management with the Hamburg issuing house HCI.
Wiebke Schütt is the managing director of Zeaborn Crew Management GmbH & Cie. KG, a specialized provider of crewing and maritime services and a subsidiary of Zeaborn Ship Management. In this function, she is responsible for the company's entire maritime personnel. She has more than a decade of experience in marine operations, human resources and training in globally operating, highly diversified companies.
After graduating with a Master of Business Economics from the University of Jena, Germany, in 2006, Wiebke Schütt started her international career in the shipping industry. She held various senior positions in marine HR before she became managing director of the Wallem ship management office for Europe in Hamburg. She after that changed to the ship owning side where she assumed responsibility as global crewing director for a Canadian ship owner. In December 2019 Wiebke Schütt joined Zeaborn Ship Management and was appointed managing director of Zeaborn Crew Management.
Matthias Ritters serves as the managing director of Zeaborn Tankers, a division of Zeaborn Ship Management that manages various oil, product and chemical tankers.
Matthias has more than 25 years of international experience in the maritime industry. He holds a Master of Science degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, and held various senior executive roles with classification societies and ship owners in Europe and the Middle East.
Charan Singh has over 30 years of international experience in shipping, from his beginnings as a seafarer on various vessel types, over a Master’s Degree in International Trade & Transport, moving on to commercial management for a bulker ship owning company, Tropis Shipping Co. Ltd., in London. By joining Pioneer Marine, a dry bulk ship owning company as senior vice president commercial in Singapore, he achieved in-depth knowledge on owners’ side and being responsible for the divisions chartering, operations and insurance vastly expanded his expertise before he joined Zeaborn Ship Management (Singapore) Pte. Ltd in 2017. He was appointed managing director one year later, bringing with him a wide range of international contacts.
Ninad Sharad Mhatre was appointed deputy managing director for the Zeaborn Shipmanagement Singapore office in 2018, bringing with him 38 years of maritime experience. He is a master mariner by background, having served for 20 years on bulk carriers, tankers and specialized trade vessels, also gathering experience in new-building supervision and shipboard auditing. From 2000 onwards, Ninad gained further experience in the fields of Marine Safety & Quality as well as Commercial & Operations in responsible positions. Ninad brings this multi-faceted maritime experience and diverse skill-set to his present role in Zeaborn Ship Management.
